Kaushik Mallick, the sole proprietor of Compossibility LLC, has extensive experience in designing composite pressure vessels and storage tanks. These include ultra lightweight pressure vessels for satellites, launch vehicles and unmanned air vehicles, high pressure gaseous hydrogen storage for fuel cell cars, pressure vessels for compressed natural gas (CNG), underground storage tanks for gasoline and wastewater and above ground storage tanks for corrosive chemicals. He received his M.S. from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his PhD from Arizona State University in Mechanical Engineering. His professional expertise is in mechanics of materials, with a focus on design optimization of composite pressure vessels, finite element analysis of filament wound composite structures, fracture mechanics and damage tolerance analysis of metallic liners, and damage mechanics and micromechanics of polymeric and composite materials.
